Conference at the Oasis

May 9th - 10th 2025!

🌊Tempe Town Lake

A very SHORT meetup due to the extreme heat. Available Moors gathered and moved on to the next venue (Papago Peak Park) before the weather forced us indoors.

⛰️ Papago Park

Papago Peak, known for its otherworldly red sandstone formations and panoramic views of the Phoenix Valley and pyramid-grave site of Arizona's first governor. The pyramid overlooks a lagoon oasis and Hole-in-the-Rock formation in the Peak.

🍽️ Nana’s Kitchen

"BEST VEGAN FOOD EVER!!!" ~ Consensus of every Moor in attendance--Day One AND Day Two of the Meetup!!

Nana's Kitchen-Chandler didn't disappoint. From the fried "chicken" mushrooms to the peach cobbler you wouldn't believe didn't have butter, our Day One visit made the visit on Day 2 a MUST.

🌾Downtown Farmers Market

Moors met up for a pre-lecture breakfast at the Downtown Farmer's Market.  Shout out to the young sister at The Healing Culture for the clever marketing of her sea moss coolers: Watermelon aka Thirst Trap caught my attention and I VERY much enjoyed the BlueBerry Lemonade, aka B.B.L.!!

📚 Burton Barr Central Library Lecture
